Kids’ Clay Class
Living Lands Studio 106 E WASHINGTON AVE, AVA, MO, United StatesPottery ClassesKIDS CLAY PLAY CLASS Why kids (and parents!) LOVE clay play: Builds fine motor skills – All that pinching, rolling & shaping strengthens little fingers for writing & drawing Boosts creativity & problem-solving – “How do I make this stand up?” becomes an exciting challenge! Natural stress relief – Clay is incredibly calming and helps kids process big emotions Develops focus & patience – Working with clay teaches kids to slow down and concentrate Pure sensory joy – The squishy, cool texture is therapeutic and SO satisfying! What’s included: 1.5 hours of guided (but free-spirited!) fun All clay and tools provided Cozy kid-friendly studio vibes Memories that’ll last a lifetime and give them a break from technology and other pulls of life. Ages 5-16 welcome Mondays at 1:00-2:30 Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 – Teens also have the option for a teen only class on Mondays at 10-12 $100 per child for their first 5 week punch card – After they complete their first 5 weeks, they can come back for studio time each week for $15 per session. Limited to 10 little artists per session. You must RSVP to attend! Pay for class on-site when you arrive.

Teen Clay Class
Living Lands Studio 106 E WASHINGTON AVE, AVA, MO, United StatesPottery ClassesUnlock your creativity and explore! Our Teen class is designed to inspire young artists to dive into hands-on experiences, from wheel throwing to hand-building, and to have fun with other teens. All new students must take a 5-week introductory class. Each introductory class is $25 per teen per session or pay up-front for all 5 sessions and get a discounted rate of $100. Teens should be prepared to get a little dirty playing in clay! Trimmed nails and hair-ties are highly recommended! Teens who graduate from the intro class may come for Studio Sessions where they can continue their practice and exploration independently. Eash Studio Session is $15 per teen per session and 5-class punch cards are available also. Please RSVP your attendance here so we know how many to expect and pay your fees on-site at the time of class.

We are all creative - come learn how you CAN create art, even if you have never done it before. Experienced teacher, Beth Richards will gently guide you through creating your very own work of art. Why Art Matters — Even If You're “Not an Artist” Art isn’t just about making something that looks good—it’s about making something that feels real. When we give ourselves space to play with color, texture, and shape, we unlock a part of the brain that doesn’t speak in words. It’s where stress dissolves, joy awakens, and healing begins. You don’t need “talent” to benefit from creative expression. You just need curiosity. In fact, making art without expectations can be one of the most powerful forms of self-care. These two ladies alternated teaching days, and both are wonderful, knowledgeable coaches. Bring your own mat or use one of ours. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners.
