Center for Hands on Healing: Empowering Your Body’s Natural Healing Potential

Visit The Center for Hands-On Healing and experience the transformative power of therapeutic touch. Located on the square in the heart of Ava, MO we are partnered with Living Lands Artist Collective to offer a unique environment where art and wellness come together for a truly holistic experience. We specialize in:

  • Deep tissue massage: Melt away chronic tension and muscle knots, promoting improved flexibility and pain relief.
  • Myofascial release: Restore mobility and ease discomfort by addressing restricted fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles.
  • Lymphatic drainage massage: Boost your body’s natural detoxification process by stimulating the lymphatic system.
  • Sports injury massage: Accelerate healing and recovery from athletic injuries, promoting a faster return to peak performance.
  • Cupping therapy: Enhance circulation, reduce pain, and promote relaxation using specialized suction cups.
  • Relaxation: Give your mind and body a break in this calming, safe environment where  we focus on the stillness and peace of the present moment.

At the Center for Hands on Healing, we believe your body possesses the remarkable ability to heal itself from pain and restriction – with time, intention, and the right care. We go beyond just massage; we empower you to take charge of your well-being through knowledge and self-care practices.

Yoga with Allegra Dawne

Join Allegra for class on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Saturdays of each month from 11 -12.

Allegra Dawne has been practicing yoga for twenty-eight years, and she has been teaching locally for 13 years.

Having practiced throughout several pregnancies and labor, Allegra takes delight in encouraging pregnant sisters to continue their practice. She also has experience with Senior and Chair Yoga, helping elders continue mobility as age advances.

Allegra concentrates on ancient, traditional yoga forms. She is not interested in following trends set by gym oriented commercialism. Although she is a traditionalist hatha instructor, she uses only understandable English terms, to avoid confusion. Her goal is that participants look forward to class without dread or overwhelm.

Allegra reinforces good form and variations through open communication, avoiding personal space invasion and feelings of violations. Classes typically spend equal time on standing, balancing, and seated poses, and time for supine poses and contemplative passage. She seeks to build a trusting relationship with each class and to build supportive community around yoga practice.

Creative Roots Recovery

Creative Roots Recovery is a supportive community for individuals navigating addiction recovery and PTSD healing, hosted at the welcoming Living Lands Collective in Ava, Missouri.

Our unique approach combines professional guidance with a warm, casual atmosphere where healing happens naturally through connection and creative expression. Licensed professionals provide structure and expertise, while the group maintains a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

At Creative Roots Recovery, we believe in the power of shared experiences. Members find strength in community, building meaningful relationships with others who truly understand their journey. All conversations take place in a private, confidential setting where you can speak openly and honestly.

What sets us apart is our integration of creative processes into the recovery journey. Through artistic expression participants discover new tools for processing emotions, gaining insights, and celebrating milestones that might be difficult to access through talk therapy alone.

Join us at Living Lands Collective to find your voice, connect with others walking similar paths, and discover how creativity can nurture deep, lasting recovery in a supportive community setting.
