Why Summer Yoga? Each season has its qualities that can nourish us or to exaggerate imbalances. Learn holistic health techniques and restorative yoga flows to channel the intensity of the summer & cool the body.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the Summer is associated with the heart & small intestines. The emotion associated with it is Joy & the flavor is bitter (dark leafy greens that aid to clear excess heat from the body.) Both traditional chinese medicine & Ayurveda teach us that the summer represents light, heat, action, the sun, and outward growth. And, like any gardener knows…it’s the time to manage the abundance & eat cooling foods like watermelons, cucumbers, mint & bitter greens just to name a few.
Learn & practice more nature inspired health tips & techniques in this 5 week class that combines ancient wisdom and beneficial movement to nurture your mind & body.
Cost: $50 for the package. Attendance is limited to 18 people and we must have at least 5 people pre-registered in order for the class to take place. If the class is a go, walk-ins for non registered attendees will be $12 for each session.
